Day 5- Sheep's Mountain Lodge to Home

We got up and ate an incredible breakfast at Sheep's Mountain Lodge, and then loaded up. The tire was low on air againa, so we filled it up and then headed to Matanuska Glacier. It's a massive glacier. There was a path up to it to hike to get towards the face. The path didn't bring us directly onto the glacier (although we were walking on the glacier to get to the face, but there were rocks and dirt above the glacier area). It was an absolutely beautiful glacier.

We drove to Anchorage then and I got the car checked out- it needed a new battery from the Valdez trip, and they put a bigger patch on the tire, and I was good to go. We headed down the Kenai Peninsula and home.
